Every heart of a man is a shrine of God available to blossom, ripen, flower,awaken and enlighten in his own time and own manner

But

When you are keen to know your own self (nafs)
You will know him (God) sooner

That’s what Muhammed (pbuh) said

When you know yourself (nafs) you will know your lord (Allah) 

I am (God) closer to you than your jugular vein – Quran 50.16
